just a few days ago, it was announced that the west end summit project was back in the works with HCA coming on as the anchor tenant. for the second time in a week, a big game-changing development is in talks in midtown.
indianapolis-based developer, buckingham, hopes to reinvent a 1.9 acre spot where broadway, division and 21st avenue collide. plans were submitted to metro that includes a 19-story hotel, retail, residential and structured parking. the plans would require a height variance and the demolition of the buildings currently housing ken’s sushi, midtown benchmark, and wendys. it’s estimated the project will exceed $100 million and the developers will go before the metro planning commission in november.
