a first look at the gulch’s new 404 hotel

IMG_5989the 404, a new 5-room boutique hotel in the gulch, opens its doors next friday, march 14.

all of the rooms come equipped with turkish-t towels and robes as well as malin+goetz toiletries.  the hotel is keyless entry for guests.  each room is furnished with custom as well as vintage furniture and original artwork by nashville photographer caroline allison, providing a unique travel experience.IMG_5737-Edit

rates for next weekend start at $350 for a king suite and $425 for one of the four king suites with a loft.

IMG_6203last fall, the 404 kitchen opened last october to rave reviews becoming a semi-finalist in the james beard awards in the best new restaurant category.  the roughly 50-seat restaurant is literally housed in a former shipping container in the front of the building.   they offer a unique combination of european cuisine combined with local seasonal fare, even growing herbs on the roof of the hotel.
