sobro luxury apartment tower firming up

screen-shot-2014-05-09-at-12941-pm-600xx330-497-17-0developer tony giarratana has finalized financing for his 32-story luxury apartment high rise.  he plans to close this month and start construction immediately.  the 313-unit sobro tower will sit on demonbreun street, between second and third avenues where premier parking lots sit now. giarratana is no stranger to premier parking as he started the company and co-owns the business today.  i’m no stranger to them either…i have their parking tickets lining my backseat because they also own the lot where my gulch office parks unfortunately.

sobro parking will not be compromised as the plans for the new apartment building call for ten stories of public parking.    additionally, the high rise will  include 20,000 square feet of retail & restaurant space.

Still nothing over a month later. This tower was supposed to be finished in 2014 according to the pdf on the Giarratana website. The website has never been updated, and renderings of the Sobro, Sheet Music, or 505 CST are not current. I think Tony’s days of high rise construction are over. In the past few years he has completed the Belle Meade Theater Project, started Park 25 (Central) on 25th Avenue, started The Dallas on Elliston Place, and now 22nd and State Street. I think his plans for 18th and Church is a pipe dream as well. Good for him doing the low rise projects and his Premier Parking Company, but high rises are out of the question now.
